2nd To None Lawn Maintenance

About 2nd To None Lawn Maintenance

The Trout River goes pewter before sunrise, and the yards on Jacksonville's Northside hold their dew like a held breath. 2nd To None Lawn Maintenance works that early hour, mowing and edging while the wet grass still darkens the toes of a boot. By mid-morning the heat has come up off the pavement and the ibises are picking through the fresh cut, and the line where turf meets driveway runs straight as a chalk snap. Clippings are gathered, the walks get taken down to bare concrete, and the yard is handed back looking like somebody thought about it. Plain lawn work, done in order, in a part of the city that notices.
