Nick's Lawn Care

About Nick's Lawn Care

By two o'clock in August the thunderheads have stacked themselves over the Gulf, and everybody in Homosassa knows what the next hour holds. Nick's Lawn Care starts early and works the dry window — mowing, edging, string trimming, blower down the walk — with one eye on the western sky. When the rain arrives it arrives hard, the grass answers overnight, and the route comes back around sooner than it would anywhere else. Shrubs and hedges get shaped, dead fronds come off the palms, beds get cleared and the cuttings go with the truck. Beating a Florida storm to a finished yard never gets old.
