Oscar's Honest Lawn and Landscaping Service

About Oscar's Honest Lawn and Landscaping Service

Scratch a Homestead lawn and you reach rock — oolite limestone a few inches down, the old reef this whole corner of Florida stands on. Grass grows here on a shallow layer of soil over stone, so blade height matters, and so does knowing when a yard has taken all the sun it can hold for one week. Oscar's Honest Lawn and Landscaping Service works with that ground instead of arguing with it: an even mow, edges cut true along the walks and drive, string trimming close to fences and tree rings, and the loose grass gathered up before the truck moves on. It is unhurried work, and it accumulates — corners actually finished, lines that run where they should. Homestead asks for that kind of patience and pays it back in green nearly every month of the year.
