DARNELL'S LAWN MAINTENANCE

About DARNELL'S LAWN MAINTENANCE

Daybreak comes up out of Biscayne Bay at Homestead Base, and the first light skims flat across land that sits only a few feet above the tide. Darnell's Lawn Maintenance gets onto the grass while the air is still cool, before the subtropical heat settles in. Mowing, trimming and edging are done with an eye for straight lines, which suit this level ground where you can see a long way. By mid-morning a yard looks freshly pressed, its borders squared against the walk. Then the breeze picks up off the bay and runs through the cut grass, as it crossed this shore long before any runway was laid.
