About CC Trees

Hollywood grows shade the way other towns grow fences — banyan roots crossing a sidewalk, a gumbo limbo peeling red at the corner, live oaks holding the heat off a whole block near Harrison Street. CC Trees works underneath all of that, keeping the ground beneath the canopy tended: mowing shaded turf that comes in thin and uneven, trimming hedges and shrubs back to a line, hauling off the limbs and leaf litter a windy week leaves behind. Shade lawns are their own puzzle down here, slower to fill and quick to go patchy, and they answer to a lighter hand. What makes the day is a yard that looks composed from the street — canopy above, clean ground below, nothing scattered anywhere between. That is a result you can see from the car.
