About Turfshine

There is a particular hour in Hialeah when a shower has just passed, the sun drops back under the cloud, and every blade of St. Augustine is beaded and lit from the side. Turfshine works toward that look on purpose — mowing with sharp blades so the cut end heals instead of fraying, edging the walks and drive to a defined groove, trimming the corners no wheel can reach. Hedges are held to a flat line, beds are kept clear, and the clippings are blown off the concrete rather than left to stain it. Do that on a schedule and the lawn thickens into itself, so the shine is not a trick of the weather but the condition of the grass. Neighbors notice the difference on a cloudy day too.
