Brown's All Around

About Brown's All Around

A property is a loop, not a rectangle: front lawn, the strip along the drive, the side run nobody sees, the back to the fence line. Brown's All Around walks that whole loop on Groveland yards, working the late hours when the light off Highway 50 turns long and gold and the heat finally lets go. Mowing and edging do most of it, but the corners are where a yard is won — around the posts, under the low branches, along the fence where the grass likes to run wild. The last thing done is the blow-off, so the concrete is as clean as the turf. Full circle, every visit, all around.
