About Southern Scapes Inc.

Under the oaks along the bluff the shade sits deep enough to change the temperature a few degrees, and the Spanish moss barely stirs on a windless day. Southern Scapes Inc. keeps lawns and grounds in Green Cove Springs — mowing, edging, trimming, shrub and hedge shaping, mulching beds and clearing what the trees let go. Shaded turf is a different animal from turf in full sun: thinner, slower, easy to scalp, so the deck comes up and the passes slow down. Magnolias drop their heavy leaves on their own schedule and somebody has to move them off the grass. Done right, an old yard under old trees looks composed rather than simply overtaken.
