Coastal Scapes of North Florida

About Coastal Scapes of North Florida

The St. Johns runs north here, wide as a bay and bright as tin at first light, and the wind coming off it decides how a morning is going to go. Coastal Scapes of North Florida takes on lawns near that water in Green Cove Springs, where sugar sand, full sun and river air ask a great deal of a yard. Mowing, edging, string trimming, bed upkeep and cleanups make the round, along with the ongoing argument with weeds that adore sandy ground. Riverside grass grows in bands of glare and oak shade, so cut height gets decided yard by yard rather than applied across the board. By the time the pelicans have worked their way downriver, the mowing is done and the driveway is clean.
