About Islander Landscaping & Nursery

Freeport sits on a narrow piece of the world — bay water to the south, river country to the east, and pine flatwoods filling in the rest. The soil is sand more often than not, and what thrives here has learned to. Islander Landscaping & Nursery keeps lawns in that ground looking their best with steady mowing, trimming around the plantings, edging where grass meets bed and walk, and cleanup after every cut. April is the reward month, when the azaleas finish and the turf comes in thick enough to hold a mower stripe. The rest of the year is the patient work that makes that April possible.
