Green Acres Of Florida

About Green Acres Of Florida

This ground grew citrus long before it grew grass, and off the old grove roads you can still find a lone orange tree standing in somebody's back yard, blooming in March as though it never got the news. Green Acres Of Florida works that same white sand — mowing, edging, trimming shrubs, spreading mulch and keeping the weeds out of the beds — on lawns that sit where the tree rows used to run. Spring arrives without much ceremony here; one week the bahia is dull and the next it is climbing. Keeping up with that, house after house, is the whole discipline of the work. What it buys is a yard that reads as cared for from the curb, in a corner of Florida where every street is still deciding what it looks like.
