Fort Myers earned its nickname, the City of Palms, along McGregor Boulevard, where rows of royal palms rise like gray columns toward a wide Gulf Coast sky. The Caloosahatchee runs broad and slow beside the city, and in the summer rainy season the afternoons build into towering clouds that drench everything green. Liklandscape keeps pace with that subtropical growth, mowing lawns before they get away, trimming snug around palm trunks, and squaring up the sidewalk edges so the yard holds its shape between storms. By evening, when the rain has passed and the river turns copper under the setting sun, a freshly cut Fort Myers lawn looks like it is breathing easy again.
