About Always Green Always Growing

Fern Park earned its name under lath and shade, back when whole blocks of Seminole County grew ferns in slat houses that strained the Florida sun into something a plant could stand. That habit of tending green things never left the town, and Always Green Always Growing carries it forward one yard at a time. Summer here is a long humid push — St. Augustine grass climbing all week, then a mower correcting it into even stripes by Friday. The work is mowing, edging along drives and walks, trimming the hedges back to a clean shoulder, and clearing the concrete so a property looks swept rather than merely cut. Growing season barely pauses in this part of Central Florida, and the reward is a lawn that still looks tended on the hottest afternoon of the year.
