Above and Beyond Tree Care

About Above and Beyond Tree Care

Edgewater faces the Indian River, and everything green here has to make its peace with salt air, sand and a wind that comes straight across the lagoon. Above and Beyond Tree Care works the riverfront streets and the blocks behind them, pruning live oaks and cabbage palms and trimming limbs off carports, docks and the boat that lives in the side yard. Removals get picked apart from the crown down where a house, a seawall and a neighbor's fence leave no margin at all. When a tropical system crosses Volusia County, storm damage cleanup starts at first light with the leaning tree, then the blocked drive, then the yard taken back to grass. There is a good hour at dawn on this river when the water goes flat and silver, and a canopy pruned right is a fine thing to be standing under.
