About Brian Chase

Dunnellon comes awake with mist still lifting off the Rainbow River, water clear enough that the sand boils show white on the bottom. Brian Chase takes those early hours, when dew weighs down the bahia and the first pass of the mower lays a dark stripe across a yard. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming and clearing the drive, and it ends with a border you can follow with your eye from mailbox to porch. Along Blue Run the oaks throw sun and shade across the same lawn, and each patch gets cut for what it is. By the time the day's tubers hit the water, the grass is quiet, even, and swept clean.
