About Mac The Gardener

Early, while the dew is still heavy enough to soak a pant leg and a mockingbird is running through its whole repertoire on the power line, is the best hour for hand work in a Dover garden. Mac The Gardener spends it there: weeds pulled out of the beds by the root, hedges shaped by eye, bed lines re-cut with a blade, shrubs thinned so light gets down to the mulch, and the lawn mowed, edged and blown clean around it. Plants respond to being noticed, and a bed that has been kept rather than rescued has a settled, cared-for look you cannot fake in one visit. By nine the heat arrives and the yard is already done. Gardens tended in Dover, Valrico, Seffner and Plant City.
