Heaven Sent Lawn

About Heaven Sent Lawn

There is a half hour after a summer downpour when Delray turns luminous — steam lifting off the asphalt, the light coming back gold, everything twice as green as it was at noon. Heaven Sent Lawn works into afternoons like that: mowing, edging, string trimming, hedge shaping, bed weeding, mulch, and the cleanups that follow once a storm has had its say. Fronds come down, small limbs come down, and the yard gets put back together. It is plain work done steadily, and it leaves a place feeling calm. A cut lawn on a Sunday morning is its own small blessing.
