About Tarzan Tree Care Inc

On Cudjoe Key the ground is coral rock, and the trees that make the island livable — gumbo limbo, buttonwood, mahogany, the seagrapes along the canals — grow low, tough and salt-cured. Tarzan Tree Care Inc keeps them shaped for the wind instead of against it, pruning crowns open so a gust can pass through and trimming limbs off tin roofs, screened porches and the boat parked in the side yard. This island knows precisely what a major hurricane does, and storm damage cleanup here is done with that close at hand: the hazard down first, the drive cleared, the debris carried off and gone. Removal is the last call, lowered by rope on lots where the canal sits ten feet behind you. Afterward the light comes back off the water, the trade wind moves through, and the yard sits ready for whatever the next season brings.
