About Billy Gillum's Lawn Services

Crystal River wakes with steam on the water, the springs holding their own temperature while the air makes up its mind. Billy Gillum's Lawn Services starts the day on that cool side of the morning, mowing and trimming before the sun climbs over Kings Bay and turns the humidity honest. St. Augustine grass runs fast in this ground — a week is a long time here — so the work keeps a steady weekly rhythm of cut, edge, and blow the clippings back off the walk. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass, when the driveway line comes up sharp and the yard looks like someone decided it should. That is the whole idea: a Crystal River lawn that looks tended, week after week, in the middle of all that green.
