About Jade Lawn Care

There is an hour after a June rain here when everything goes almost too green to look at. Jade Lawn Care works that season around Crystal Lake, when a lawn can put on a week of growth in three days and the mower has to earn its keep. Weekly cutting, edged walks, trimmed fence lines, hedges held back off the windows — the ordinary list, kept on time while the rain keeps its own. Frogs start up in the ditches, the light turns yellow under the clouds, and the yard behind the truck looks combed. That color is the whole point, and holding onto it is the work.
