Big Mowski

About Big Mowski

Down along the Shoal River the water runs tea-dark beneath the cypress, and August air there feels like something you could wear. Big Mowski works those humid afternoons anyway — mower first, then the trimmer around the mailbox post and the AC pad, then the blower until the driveway is bare concrete again. Grass in this part of Okaloosa County barely rests between May and October, so the schedule keeps its beat and the yards stay level. By evening the cut lines run straight across the front and the whole lot looks calmer than it did at noon. There is no trick to it, only turning up when the grass says so.
