Paul Wall's Stump Grinding and Tree Removal

About Paul Wall's Stump Grinding and Tree Removal

Crawfordville sits in pine flatwoods a short run from the springs and the salt marsh, where the ground is sand and the water table is never far down. Paul Wall's Stump Grinding and Tree Removal takes on what that country grows: tall slash and longleaf needing a trim off a roofline, and the ones that have to come out before a storm makes the decision instead. Removals come down in stages on lots hemmed in by well heads, drain fields and porch corners. Then the stump is ground below grade and the chips raked back in, so a yard goes back to being a yard instead of an obstacle course. On a foggy Wakulla morning with the pines dripping, that flat cleared ground is a satisfying thing to walk across.
