About Mixin Green

Green is not one color here. There is the blue-green of St. Augustine, the gray-green of a sea grape, the near-black of a clipped ficus hedge standing against a coral rock wall — and a yard sings when somebody has thought about how those sit together. Mixin Green does the mowing and edging that hold it all in place, along with hedge and shrub trimming, palm work, mulch, bed cleanups and clearing away what has been cut. Late spring is the moment to sort it out, just before the rains push everything past its shape. The trim work is where the eye lands, so hedges get squared and palms get their fronds pulled, and what is left is a yard with some depth to it instead of a plain rectangle of grass.
