Glade Palm

About Glade Palm

West of Cooper City the neighborhoods stop and the sawgrass begins, on a horizon so flat that the sky takes up most of it. Glade Palm works the lawns on the town side of that line, mowing, edging, and keeping sabal palms and hedges trimmed back from the walkways. There is an old logic underneath it all: this was wet country once, and the grass grows with that memory in it. Every visit ends with the clippings cleared and the borders redrawn. Neat yards held against a wild horizon is the particular pleasure of the job.
