Gifford's Lawn Service

About Gifford's Lawn Service

Drive the hills south of town and you can still read the old grove rows in the way the land steps down in long terraces. Saturday mornings, that country smells like cut grass and warm sand, and Gifford's Lawn Service is somewhere in it — mower down, trimmer on the shoulder, working a yard from the far fence toward the road. The service is straightforward: mowing, trimming, edging along walks and beds, and carrying off the mess so the yard is the only thing left. Clermont summers grow grass faster than most people can keep up with, and the point of a standing route is that nobody has to. There's a plain pride in pulling out of a driveway and seeing the whole lot square behind you.
