About Cedar Creek Landscaping and Design

On Cedar Key the tide keeps the calendar, flooding the marsh grass one hour and draining it the next, while the island smells of salt and open flats in between. In this old Gulf fishing town, where clam farming still works the shallows and sunset turns the water copper, a yard has to make peace with wind and salt. Cedar Creek Landscaping and Design plans and tends landscapes for that setting, thinking through how a bed sits against a weathered porch and how turf meets the sandy edge of a lot. Design comes first, then the care: mowing, trimming and keeping each planting in shape between the squalls off the Gulf. On an island this small and this beautiful, every yard is part of the view.
