About Gillikin's Island Lawn Care, LLC

First light in Carrabelle lays a pink stripe on the water where the river hands itself to the Gulf, and Dog Island sits out there flat as a held breath. Gillikin's Island Lawn Care, LLC starts the day in that hour, mowing the yards along the river road and up the side streets while the air is still cool enough to enjoy. Salt wind and sandy ground make a particular kind of grass, thin in places and thick in others, so the mower has to read a lot before it cuts it. Trimming around dock posts and porch stairs, edging the drive, sweeping the walk clean — small moves that add up to a place that looks tended. In a town where everybody drives past everything, a sharp yard is a kind of good manners.
