Martin Mowing & More

About Martin Mowing & More

Out toward Four Mile Cove the mangroves make a green wall along the water, and the yards that back up to it end in a seawall instead of a fence. Martin Mowing & More cuts to that hard line the way you'd trim a photograph — right to the concrete, nothing shaggy hanging over the tide. October is the turning month in the Cape, when the daily rain quits, the humidity finally lets go, and a lawn can be brought back into shape and held there. Mowing and trimming carry the week; the "& More" is the hedge work, the bed cleanup, the palm fronds hauled off before they yellow on the ground. It is unglamorous work with a very visible result, which is exactly why it is worth doing well.
