About markslandscapingandexcavation

Dig anywhere around Brooksville and you find sand, then clay, then limerock — the bones of the ridge that gave this town its improbable hills. Marks Landscaping and Excavation works with that ground: moving and shaping the dirt first, then planting, mulching and mowing whatever goes on top of it. A slope that sheds an August downpour the right way is invisible when it works, which is most of the point of doing it well. Between the pasture country north of town and the newer streets running south, there is no shortage of ground that needs both the machine and the mower. Land first, lawn after — kept in that order, a yard stays a yard.
