Brooksville is built on limestone, and the quarries north of town keep giving up pale rock that turns back up in walls and borders all over Hernando County. JEM Landscaping works with that vocabulary — beds shaped and mulched, borders set, shrubs and small trees placed where they will do the most for a front elevation, with the lawn mowed, edged and trimmed to frame all of it. Winter is the season for the building work, when the ground is dry and a crew can move earth without racing an afternoon storm.
