About Ricotta's Landscaping

Out at Cortez the boats still come in past the docks, and on an east wind the smell of the bay reaches a good way inland. Ricotta's Landscaping works that western stretch of Bradenton, where sea grape and oleander crowd the property lines and the grass grows fast enough to demand a real schedule. The list is straightforward — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, mulch, bed cleanups, everything hauled off. Sandy soil, hard light, wind off the water: it is a particular place to keep a yard, and there is a craft to keeping one well. Each finished lot is a small argument that tidy and tropical can be the same thing.
