Florida Lawn Enforcement

About Florida Lawn Enforcement

Come June the wet season arrives on schedule, thunderheads stacking inland off the Gulf every afternoon, and a Beverly Hills lawn can put on a week of growth in three days. Florida Lawn Enforcement patrols against exactly that: weekly mowing, edging, string trimming along fences and beds, and blowing the walks clear before the truck rolls. The sand pine and palmetto of the Withlacoochee State Forest press in at the county's edges, and left alone, a yard starts to remember it. Holding that line — turf on one side, wildness on the other — is the whole pleasure of this work. Beverly Hills, Citrus Springs and Lecanto are all on the beat.
