About Birds of Paradise Lawn Maintenance LLC

First light in Bayshore Gardens is loud — mockingbirds in the crepe myrtle, a dove somewhere on a wire, and sprinklers coming on block by block. Birds of Paradise Lawn Maintenance LLC is out in it, mowing while the ground is still cool and the blades cut clean. The orange-and-blue flowers the company borrowed its name from stand up in half the front beds around here, and keeping them clear of weeds belongs to the job right alongside cutting, edging, trimming and blowing down the drive. There is a plain kind of pride in pulling away from a yard that looks better than it did an hour ago. Bayshore Gardens, Bradenton, Cortez and Palmetto all fit inside a morning.
