Stanley's Lawn Care

About Stanley's Lawn Care

Lake Hancock lies broad and shallow just north of Bartow, and on a still morning the herons out there stand like they were set down and forgotten. Stanley's Lawn Care begins near enough to that water to catch the light coming off it, then turns into the neighborhoods and gets to work. Lakeside air keeps grass damp late, so the first cut of the day waits for the blades to dry and comes out cleaner for the wait. After mowing: trimming at fences and tree rings, an edge run along the drive, and the walks cleared of every last clipping. A finished yard on a bright Bartow morning has a stillness to it, and that is the thing worth chasing.
