About Stand Up Lawn Care

By ten in the morning a Bartow July has already made up its mind, and by three there is a thunderhead over the county issuing its own weather report. Stand Up Lawn Care gets out ahead of it, trailer loaded in the dark, the first mower running as the sky goes gray-blue, most of the route behind them before the heat index tops out. The cutting itself stays unhurried even when the day is not: even passes, a blade set high enough that the turf shades its own roots, the trimmer at fence corners and the meter box. The edge along the walk is cut, not scuffed, and the concrete is blown clean before the truck moves. Finishing a full route ahead of the rain is a small victory, earned about a hundred times a summer.
