About Smith's Lawn Service LLC

For a couple of weeks every March the orange blossom drifts into Bartow from the groves outside town and the whole afternoon smells like it. Smith's Lawn Service LLC is out working in that stretch, when the grass wakes up and the first real cuts of the year get made. From then on it runs weekly through the summer, the mower staying ahead of St. Augustine that would happily swallow a sidewalk, the trimmer clearing fence lines and tree bases. Edging gives the drive its shape back, and the walk comes back into view once the clippings are gone. From March blossom to the dry, bright weeks after Christmas, the yards stay on the calendar.
