About Alvalawn

January in Polk County is the honest month — cool mornings, brown-tipped bahia, air dry enough that dust rises behind a truck on the clay roads near Lake Arietta. Alvalawn works that season the way it works August: mow, edge, run the trimmer down the fence lines, pull the blown leaves out of the shrub beds. Live oaks shed all winter here, and a yard can look tired inside a week if nobody comes by. There is a plain satisfaction in pulling away from a property that is square again, borders cut straight and the driveway swept, everything sitting quiet under a low sun. Come the wet months the pace doubles and the route holds anyway.
