Walker's Lawn & Property Maintenance

About Walker's Lawn & Property Maintenance

Late in the day the light off the Gorrie Bridge turns the whole town the color of raw honey, and that is a fine hour to stand back and look at a lawn you have just finished. Walker's Lawn & Property Maintenance mows, edges, trims and cleans up yards across Apalachicola — the ones with oyster-shell drives, the ones with tin roofs ticking as they cool. Grass here grows against sandy ground and salt wind off the bay, so cuts get set high enough to hold moisture and lines get run straight enough to read from the street. Shrubs come back off the porch rail, and fallen fronds and yard debris leave the property rather than pile up behind the shed. Out along the Franklin County backroads the pleasure is simple: pull away, look back, and see the place standing a little straighter.
