J&S Land Service

About J&S Land Service

Alford sits in the rolling farm country of Jackson County, where the Panhandle forgets it is supposed to be flat and the road shoulders run red with clay after a hard rain. J&S Land Service mows and tends lawns here, in a town small enough that one well-kept yard changes the look of a whole street. Summer grass in this corner of Florida grows like it has somewhere to be, so the work is keeping it in step: a level cut, a sharp line where turf meets the driveway, clippings blown off the walk before the afternoon clouds build. By October, when the peanut fields come in and the air finally loosens its grip, the lawns slow down, and J&S keeps them tidy into the short, mild winter. It is plain, steady land work, and from the road it looks like care.
