March along Baynard Boulevard is all bare branches and last year's leaves stuck fast in the hedges, and every block is waiting on somebody to clear it. Rios Landscaping opens the Wilmington year right there — cleanups that strip the beds and the lawn back down, then edging, mulching, and shrub pruning so the front of the house has a shape again before anything blooms. From there it becomes the weekly rotation of mowing and trimming from April into October, with leaf removal once the big street trees above Brandywine Village start letting go. Old city blocks come with old plantings, boxwood and yew that have outlasted anyone's memory of them, and those take a careful cut. The payoff comes in April, when a whole street turns over at once and looks looked-after.
