Ken's Lawn Service

About Ken's Lawn Service

Ken's Lawn Service runs the sort of route people set their week by — Tuesday in Elsmere, trailer eased down a narrow street, mower off the ramp before the coffee has gone cold. Mowing, edging, trimming, clippings cleared: the same four things done the same way, week after week, from the first flush of spring to the last mild afternoon in November. Along the old streets near Newport the yards are modest and the standard for them is not. Fertilization and weed control ride along on their own timing, with cleanups and leaf removal once the maples let go. Regularity is the service; the cut lawn is simply the receipt.
