Angel & Co

About Angel & Co

There is an hour in late May when the ball fields at Gateway Park empty out and the whole town smells like cut grass. Angel & Co works into that hour — mowing, trimming, edging — while swallows drop low across the open ground. Sussex County soil is sandy and forgiving, and a lawn kept on a steady rhythm here holds its color deep into the heat. Leaf season gets the same treatment later on, the yards cleared back to even before winter. But it is the evening finish that stays with you: a clean border along the walk, a stripe running true to the driveway, and the mower going quiet as the field lights come on.
