About Against The Grain Lawncare

Down along Pilottown Road the late light comes off the water sideways, and that is the hour when a mowing pattern shows what it is made of. Against The Grain Lawncare cuts Lewes yards on a rotation that changes direction week to week, so the blades stand up instead of leaning over in one tired direction. Trimming and edging follow the fence lines, the mailbox posts and the curve of a shell driveway. Come autumn the leaves get hauled off before they mat down and smother the crown of the grass. It is plain work, and the payoff is plain too: a lawn that looks intentional from the road.
