About Jake's Lawn & Landscape Management
On the first warm night in March the peepers start up in the wet ground near Possum Park, and Newark knows exactly what is coming. Jake's Lawn & Landscape Management opens the season right about then — spring cleanups, beds cut back and mulched, the first cuts once the grass wakes, edges re-established after a winter of drift and salt. From there it settles into weekly cutting, trimming and edging straight through the humid stretch. The first mow of the year is the best one: a shaggy lawn goes under the blades and comes out looking like somebody's plan. Everything after that is keeping the promise.
