Bailey's Lawn and Landscape

About Bailey's Lawn and Landscape

By late October the Appoquinimink runs cold and dark under the trees toward Odessa, and the maples along it start letting go all at once. That is Bailey's Lawn and Landscape's busiest stretch: the last mows of the year, leaves hauled off the beds, edges recut before the ground goes hard. Grass here holds its green deep into fall, so a lawn cut low and cleaned out in November looks better all winter than one left shaggy. The landscape side is the slower pleasure — reshaping a bed line, tidying the shrubs, making a front yard read as one piece instead of several. There is something worth being proud of in a property put to bed properly, waiting on spring with nothing out of place.
