Alex’s Lawn Care

About Alex’s Lawn Care

On a Saturday afternoon the geese take over Silver Lake and half of Middletown seems to be walking its edge. The lawns on the streets running back from that water are where Alex's Lawn Care spends its weeks — mowing, trimming, edging, one yard at a time until the block matches itself. Grass in this part of Delaware grows fast and forgiving in May, then gets stubborn by August, and knowing the difference is most of the job. A blade kept sharp leaves a cut that stays green at the tip instead of browning off by Tuesday, which is the kind of detail nobody names but everybody notices. Late in the day, with the mower loaded and the walk blown clean, the whole yard just looks quiet, and that is exactly the point.
