About Paramount Turf Company

Turf is the subject here, and around Lower Christiana it grows on interesting ground, the last of the piedmont sloping down into coastal-plain sand, so one lawn drains like a sieve while the next holds water in its low corner. Paramount Turf Company mows, trims and edges on a regular schedule and overseeds once September nights begin cooling and new grass will actually take hold. A stand of turf cut at a consistent height and fed by its own fine clippings comes back thicker the following spring. Edges are cut true along drives and walks, and the trimmer finishes whatever the deck cannot reach. Grass is a crop like any other; it simply happens to be the one people look at every single day.
