About Taylor & Messick Inc

April in Kent County smells like turned earth, and the grain elevators along the highway mark the skyline the way steeples do in other places. Taylor & Messick Inc opens the lawn season in Harrington right about then — first cuts, edges reestablished after the winter, string trimming along fence lines and foundations. Farm country teaches a certain respect for timing, and lawns run on the same principle: the right work in the right week. From there it settles into a steady cadence of mowing and upkeep straight through the growing months. A yard that has been kept all season looks it, and that is the part worth doing well.
