American Grass Cutting

About American Grass Cutting

Iron Hill rises off to the west, the one real swell of ground in a corner of New Castle County that otherwise lies flat and wide open to the sky. American Grass Cutting works the lawns beneath it, out around the Glasgow crossroads where farm ground and front yards trade places block by block. Mornings start early here, dew still silvering the blades, the first pass laying a clean stripe across a yard that looked shaggy an hour before. Trimming tightens the fence line, edging cuts the walk back to a true border, and the blower carries the last clippings off the driveway. By the time the sun clears the treetops, the whole place looks tended — because it was.
