Straws Grass Cutting & Landscaping

About Straws Grass Cutting & Landscaping

Weather reaches Dover from the west, over the Hartly and Cheswold farmland, and you can watch a July thunderhead stack itself up for an hour before it decides to break. Straws Grass Cutting & Landscaping works between those breaks — grass cutting, trimming, edging and landscaping across Dover and the crossroads towns north and west of it. Warm rain and warmer nights make turf here grow like it is being paid to, so a week's growth is real growth and a cutting is real work. When the storm has gone through and the air drops ten degrees, the smell of fresh-cut grass hangs over a whole block, which is about as close to a receipt as this trade gets. Then it is on to the next yard, with the light coming back gold and low across the fields.
